KVS Admission 2026-27 Schedule

As per latest updates KVS has released the provisional merit list for Balvatika and Class 1 for the academic session 2026-27 on its official website and admissions schedule as follows:

KVS Lottery Result 2026: Documents Required for Admission

Required documents must submit at the time of verification below:

• Registration form copy
• DOB Certificate of the child
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL EWS/BPL/SGC/ Disability), if applicable
• Residential proof (or RTE applicants)
• Aadhar card of the child
• Medical or blood group report

If the parents don’t submit the required documents within the given timeline may lead to cancellation of the seat, which will then be offered to waitlisted candidates.

KVS Admission 2026-27: Eligibility Criteria and Age Requirements

For admission to Class 1, the minimum age is 6 years as of March 31, 2026. Admission will be made in accordance with the KVS Admission Guidelines 2026-27, including reservation criteria. Moreover, for admission to Balvatika, the age criteria are between 3 to 4 years for Balvatika -1, between 4 to 5 years for Balvatika – 2 and between 5 to 6 years for Balvatika -3 as of March 31, 2026. In Kvs where Balvatika -3 is in operation, student will be admitted to Class 1.

KVS Result 2026: Admission Process for Higher Classes and New KVs

Offline registration for Balvatika-2 and 3, where online admission is not conducted, and for Class 2 and above except Class 11th shall conduct from April 2, 2026 to April 8, 2026. For instance, the application should  submitt to the respective KV Principal.

For newly opened Kendriya Vidyalayas where operations commence from April 1, 2026, admission for Balvatika and Class 1 shall be conducted through the online portal, whereas for class 2 to 5th offline admission process shall be  conducted . Additionally, for existing KVs where new sections are added offline admission procedures shall be  also  conducted  in parallel for Class 1st.
