RRB NTPC vacancy 2025 is out. The Railway Recruitment Board will conduct NTPC 2025 examination for a total of 8875 posts. For instance, these vacancies consist of posts belonging to both graduates and undergraduates.

The board officially released the notification on 23rd September 2025 via regular circulars of the Indian Railways. Moreover, you can also check the official notification (link above) to know about the recruitment process in detail.

Above all, as mentioned above, the total number of vacancies is 8875. However, the board is reducing the vacancies as they were 35281 and 11558 in 2019 and 2024 respectively.

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit for NTPC 2025/26 Examination

Interested applicants should check all the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Therefore, we have shared all the details regarding the qualification and age limit for NTPC 2025/26.

Firstly, Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university or a degree equivalent to it.

For Posts: Goods Train Manager, Ticket Supervisor, Junior Accountant, UDC or Typist, and Station Master

Secondly, Educational Qualification: Undergraduate/12th pass from a recognized educational board. Moreover, should have a typing proficiency in Hindi or English on computer.

For Posts: LDC, Junior Accountant, Clerical Officer (trains), Ticket Clerk.

Age Limit:

The minimum age of the candidates must be 18 Years, and the maximum age limit is 36 years to be eligible for the upcoming NTPC 2025 Exam.

Moreover, the upper age relaxation will be provided as per the government norms as follows:

For the candidates of OBC Category: 3 Years

Candidates of SC/ST Categories: 5 Years

For the candidates of PwD Category: 10-15 Years

For Goods Manager & Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor- CBT 1, CBT 2

Senior Clerk cum Typist & Junior Account cum Assistant cum Typist- CBT 1, CBT 2, Typing Skill Test

Selection Process for Undergraduate Level Posts (12th pass)

Find the NTPC 2025 Exam Pattern

The recruitment process shall involve 1st Stage Computer Based Test, Stage 2 Computer Based Test. Furthermore, there are typing Skill Test /Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable) and Document Verification with medical examination. Furthermore, selection is made strictly as per merit, based on the recruitment stages.

Additionally, the Language Listed: English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

RRB NTPC 2025 CBT 1 Exam Pattern

Computer Based Test 1 will have 100 Questions of 100 Marks (1 mark for each question)

divided as follows:

General Awareness: 40 Questions

Mathematics: 30 Questions

General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Questions

Time Duration: 90 Minutes

RRB NTPC Vacancy 2025, Find Computer Based Test 2 Exam Pattern

Computer Based Test 2 will have 120 Questions of 120 Marks (1 mark for each question.)

divided in three sections as given below:

General Awareness: 50 Questions

Mathematics: 35 Questions

General Intelligence & Reasoning: 35 Questions

Time Duration:90 Minutes

Negative Marking: 1\3 marks shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.
