RSMSSB VDO Examination, Date and Other Details About the Examination 

RSMSSB VDO examination 2025 will be organized on 2nd November 2025. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has prepared itself to organize the Villag Development Officer Examination 2025 on the first Sunday of November

Subject Details About the Village Development Officer 2025 Examination 

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board will be held in offline mode with multiple- choice questions in November 2025 at multiple centers across the State. Above all, the question paper for prelims will be a total 160 questions for 200 marks divided according to the subjects. For instance, they are General Knowledge, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Language Knowledge, History and culture of Rajasthan, Geography and Natural Resources, Agriculture and Economic Resources, and Basic Computer. Moreover, candidates should check the detailed exam pattern given below: 

Rajasthan VDO Exam Pattern 2025 

Total questions will be 160 MCQs for 200 marks for all the subject included in the paper which will be divided as follows: 

Language Knowledge (General Hindi, English): 50 marks 

Mathematics: 30 Marks 

General Knowledge: 20 Marks 

Geography & Natural Resources: 30 Marks 

Agricultural and Economic Resources (In the context of Rajasthan): 30 Marks 

History and Culture of Rajasthan: 30 Marks 

Basic Computer: 10 Marks 

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking for the incorrect questions. For instance, 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each incorrect answer. Furthermore, the total time duration is 3 Hours. Therefore, the candidates need to complete their paper in 180 minutes.

English: Grammar (Secondary level) and passage based MCQs. 

Mathematics: Decimals & Fractions, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion. Average, Interest, Profit- loss, Time & Distance. Time & Work, Partnership, Simple Equations Square & Cube, HCF& LCM, Importance of Data. Tabulation, Data Interpretation, Two- variable linear equations, central tendency (Mean, Median, Mode), Bar chart, pie chart, and Venn Diagram. 

Subject: General Knowledge (G.K.): Current Affairs, National, International and State level major events, organizations, institutions, and personalities. 

General Science (G.S.): General Science concepts relevant to daily life, especially topics related to electronics, satellite, communication, and emerging issues. 

Subject: Geography & Natural Resources 

Physical Geography: Continents, Oceans, Mountains. 

Geography of India & Rajasthan:  Relief, Soil, Climate, Vegetation, Irrigation, Minerals, Agriculture, Human Resources. Population problems, Poverty, Unemployment, Natural Disasters, Environmental Conservation, Renewable & Non-Renewable energy sources. 

Indian Economy and Agriculture with Special Reference to Rajasthan 

Indian Economy: Planning, Industrial Development, Rural Development, Five Year Plans, Economic Reforms. Agricultural Characteristics, production, marketing, rural credit, irrigation, cooperatives, subsidy.  Rajasthan Economy: Handicrafts, cottage industries, and institutions. Cooperative organizations for small industries, and the contribution of 73rd & 74th constitutional amendments in rural development.
