Process to Update Your Aadhar Online

Recently, UIDAI has declared that only your address can be updated or changed online. Furthermore, all other details must be updated offline. For instance, you can follow the steps given below for any update.

• Firstly, the myAadhar website at www.uidai.gov.in
• Secondly, Click on “Login”. Enter your Aadhar Number, captcha code and click “Login” with OTP received on your Aadhar registered mobile number.
• Thirdly, Click on the “Address Update” option.
• Similarly, Click on the “Update Aadhar Online” option.
• Moreover, select the Aadhar option and click the “Proceed to Update Aadhar” button.
• Now, enter the updated information. Make sure that you enter the correct and up to date information and then upload the required document and click on the “Next” button. You will view the preview of the updated details. Make the payment and click on the “Submit” button.
• Lastly, this will generate an SRN. Note down the SRN at safe place as it will be required to check the Aadhar card update status later on. You can also download the copy of the acknowledgement.

There will take a few working days for the information to be updated. You will receive your updated card through post at your postal address.

Process to Update Aadhar Offline: Complete Your Procedure

You can update the details such as name, mobile number, date of birth and biometric data through offline process. Firstly, you have to visit the Aadhar Enrolment Center or Seva Kendra. Then, go through the process given below:

Fill out the correction form/ update form.

Provide the original documents that have been mentioned against the respective change of information option.

The operator will take your biometrics (If required) and upload the required documents.

Similarly, after submitting your details, the operator will provide you an acknowledgement receipt. This will have the SRN. You can use to track the status your Aadhar.

Moreover, if there is no mismatch with your uploaded documents your updated Aadhar will receive you on your address within a few working days.

How to Update Mobile Number in Your Aadhar?

If you want to update mobile number, do it offline only through the Seva Kendra or Enrollment Center. For instance, you have to follow these steps:

Firstly, go to the nearest Seva Kendra or Enrollment Center.

Fill out the Update Form

Submit the form to the operator and provide your biometrics for verification.

Lastly, pay the required fee and received the acknowledgement slip.

Update Date of Birth in Your Aadhar: Find the Procedure

If there is any error related to date of birth, you can change it by the process given below:

Visit personally the nearest Enrollment Center.

fill out the Aadhar Enrolment and Update Form.

Provide your Biometrics and submit the proof of Date of Birth as your recorded documents.

Pay the required fee and get the receipt containing the URN/SRN.

After a few working days your updated Aadhar Card will receive you on your address.

Process to Update/Change name in Aadhar Card

If you have any mismatch in your Aadhar data name with your name registered in your other documents, you can update your name by following the steps given below:

Visit personally to the nearest Aadhar Seva Kendra or Aadhar Enrolment Center

Collect and fill out the Aadhar update Form correctly matching spelling with your other recorded documents.

Now summit the original proof of your identity to the operator and provide biometrics.

The operator will upload the required documents and then you pay the required fee

Collect the receipt containing URN/SRN for checking updates.

If your documents are in order after a few working days your updated Aadhar Card will receive you on your address by post.

Aadhar Card Latest Updates: Last Date to Change Information for Free

According to the guidelines of UIDAI you can update your Aadhar Card for free before 14 June 2026 Midnight. After that you will have to pay a fee for updating your Aadhar data. An individual who will update their Aadhar data they will have to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- on my Aadhar Portal or Rs.50/- at physical Aadhar Centers.
