CTET 2026 Eligibility
CTET consists of two papers: Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5th ) and Paper 2 (6 to 8th). The Eligibility criteria for both papers are as follows:
CTET Paper 1: For those looking forward to teaching classes 1-5th. Applicants should have passed 12th or equivalent along with a 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education or a similar qualification, either completed or in the final year.
Paper 2: CTET Paper 2 for class 6th to 8th candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream, along with relevant degrees like B.Ed./ B.A. Ed. Or Similar. Both papers can be attempted by eligible candidates who fulfill the requirements for each level.
