IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Candidates must meet the required educational qualifications depending on the post they are applying for:
- Technician Apprentice:
Candidates must have a three-year full- time diploma in the relevant engineering discipline with at least 50% marks. For reserved category candidates, the minimum required marks are 45%.
- Trade Apprentice:
Applicants must pass Class 10th along with a two- year Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Course from a recognized Institute by NCVT or SCVT in the relevant trade.
- Graduate Apprentice:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with the required minimum marks.
- Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator:
Candidates must have passed Class 12th for the skilled category, an additional skill certification may also be required.
Age Limit (as on 28/02/2026):
Candidates applying for the apprenticeship must be between 18 and 24 years of age as on February 28, 2026. Moreover, age relaxation will meet according to the government norms.

IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the required educational qualification. Moreover, candidates who are shortlisted will be called for document verification and a pre- engagement medical examination and the apprenticeship training period will be 12 months.
