The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the application process for the  NEET UG 2026 examination. Eligible candidates can check the detailed official notification and complete their registration process on the official website -neet.nta.nic.in or through the direct link provided in the article. As per the official schedule, the NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted in offline mode at multiple centres across the country. NTA NEET UG Examination 2026 Notification Out

NTA conducts the NEET UG exam once every year for admission to undergraduate medical courses in institutions offering programmes such as MBBS, BDS, BSC Nursing, BVSC and AH, BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS. This year,  the official notification has released, and the registration process started from February 8, and continues till March 8, 2026.

How to Apply for NEET UG 2026?

Students can complete their registration process through the direct link provided here or they can use the simple steps given below;

• Firstly visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in   
• Secondly, on the home page, click on the ‘New Registration” link under “ Candidate Activity” board.
•    Now, read the instructions carefully and click “Proceed”.
•    Thirdly,  Fill in the required details to generate an application number and password.
•    Similarly,  Log in to complete the application form with personal details, academic qualifications, and exam city preferences.
•   Moreover, upload the required documents, such photograph, signature, in the given format.
•   Similarly, pay the application fee and submit the form.
•  Lastly, take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

Aadhar-based eKYC: The Centre Stage

NTA has made the greatest change this year, which is the addition of Aadhaar- based eKYC for identity authentication. For the first time, students applying to NEET UG 2026 will be identified electronically using the Aadhar system during the application process. This particular step is obviously designed to sanitize the examination process and enhance the integrity of the results. The idea is to authenticate the application process by matching it to a verified Aadhaar identity. The aim is to end the problems of impersonation and duplication that have plagued the conduct of examinations and tests on a massive scale.
