RRB JE Recruitment 2025, All Information You Should Know 

Earlier, the board released the notification on its official regional websites. Therefore, if you have completed your 3-year diploma from a government recognized University, then apply for the examination on or before 30th November 2025.

Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit 

Educational Qualification: 

As mentioned in the official notification of PDF, all applicants must complete a three-year diploma in a related engineering field before applying for the examination. For instance, these are as follows: 

For Junior Engineer: Diploma/Degree in a relevant engineering stream from a recognized university. 

Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant: B. Sc, Degree in Physics and Chemistry (Higher Educational qualifications such as a BE/B. Tech degree is also acceptable in lieu of three-year diploma. 

Age Limit (As on 01/01/2026) 

The candidates must be completed at the age of 18 years and not older than 33 years. However, upper age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government norms. 

How to Apply for Junior Engineer Recruitment 2025? 

Candidates must read the official notification PDF before applying and then follow the steps given below: 

• Firstly, visit the official RRB website and register your details. 

• Secondly, fill out the online application form carefully and provide all required details. 

• Thirdly, upload all required documents as per the given format. 

• Similarly, pay the application fee through an online payment method such as Debit/Credit card/ Net Banking/UPI. 

• Lastly, carefully check all the filled details and click on “Submit” button, take a printout of your filled application form for future reference. 

Application Fee for Junior Engineer Examination 

To complete the application, process the candidates must pay the application fee as per their category as follows: 

For the candidates of General/OBC – Rs. 500/- 

For the candidates of ST/SC/EWS – Rs. 250/- 

For the candidates of Ex- Servicemen/PwBD/Transgender – Rs. 250/- 

Indian Railways Junior Engineer 2025: Selection Process 

As mentioned in the previous year’s RRB JE notification, the selection foe eligible candidates will be done through 4 different phases. The candidates have to qualify in each stage to get shortlisted for Railway JE 2025 Recruitment as follows: 

Computer Based Test (CBT-1) > Computer Based Test (CBT-2) >Document Verification > Medical Examination. 

RRB JE Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern 

As mentioned in the official notification PDF, the exam pattern for RRB JE 2025 for CBT 1 and CBT 2 exam as follows: 

• There will be 100 objective type questions (MCQs) in CBT 1 and 150 Questions (MCQs) in CBT 2. 

• There will be 1 mark for each correct answer. 

• There shall be a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer. 

• There will be 90 Minutes for CBT 1 and 120 Minutes for CBT 2 to complete the exam separately.
